Former Landsec investment director Rob Jewell has joined Axis Retail Partners to establish its London office as part of the group’s first major foray into the UK.
In a 10 year career at Landsec, Jewell held various roles including asset management director and as a portfolio director for the group’s shopping centres including the White Rose Shopping Centre in Leeds. Most recently, he was investment director at the business having taken up the role in November 2019.
Jewell said: “After 10 enjoyable years at Landsec, I have said an emotional goodbye and am leaving to open the UK office of boutique retail investment and asset management company Axis Retail Partners. Having lived through years of disruption as a retail specialist, it is an exciting time to be investing into the sector. Irrelevant, unloved retail centres are making way for shopper focused, experience rich, social and convenience led destinations. Axis are combining an intensively managed, data led model with genuine retail pedigree to help support our customers and deliver returns for our investors.”
